Casework of the old organ - note the missing wooden pipes, which were found and re-instated
The console of the old organ. The blanks for missing stops were created in 1989.
Inside the doors to the left of the console - home to the blower and some of the Pedal Bourdon (amongst other things). Note the flexible trunking leading straight off the blade valve box - this fed some of the Pedal Bourdon mounted at floor level behind the console.
The back of the organ. Note the off-note chests and flexible wind trunking.
Swell pipe work - Burton 1897. Note the holes for an extra rank of pipes on the right of the photo - we suspect this soundboard could have been intended for another organ.
Great Pipework - mainly Walker, 1867, the open wooden flute is Burton 1897, revoiced Boston 1956, using wooden splints in the pipe mouths.
